More About Coach Ryan

My name is Ryan Frantz. I am a former collegiate athlete at the division 3 level. I played at La Roche College in Pittsburgh, PA. I have been playing the game of basketball for quite a long time, and I love the game. I've learned a lot of responsibility and dicipline not only on the court but off the court as well. I have about 10 years experience doing basketball camps with all ages starting from 2nd grade all the way up to seniors in high school. I have also done personal lessons for players over the years to raise their game and personal life to the next level. I do not only coach you to become a better player, but I also coach you to become a better person in life because that is the ultimate goal is to be a great person while perfecting your craft in basketball. I have done all my training in Niles, Ohio at the niles wellness center. Also I have done some training in Pittsburgh at the college I went to as well. I have been through all the ups and downs of life and I know what it takes to get to that next level. You have to love and respect the game and yourself to become the best you can be.

I hold the record at my college for most 3s in one game which is 8 and 9. My sophomore year in college I shot a 52 percent from 3 and that landed me 1st in the nation in 3 point percentage in all of division 3 and landed me top 3 in all divisions at the collegiate level.

I would first start by doing movement stretches such as high knees, butt kicks, karaoke, Etc. That's all to get the blood moving. Conditioning is big time with me. I will do a lot of running and foot work to make sure you always have the edge and first quick step on any one you go against. Then ball handling and shooting drills will be the majority of my workouts but running is in between every workout to get you ready for the 4th quarter when the game is on the line. I am a huge believer in the system which is the run and gun. If your more in shape than that person or team, you will win that game. I was a good shooter all my life and I could handle the ball. I know how to teach the game and I love doing it.
