More About Coach Ryan

Ryan C. is a 2001 graduate of Drummond High School where he lettered in baseball, basketball and cross-country. Although Ryan enjoys playing all sports, baseball has always been his first love. Ryan was a four year varsity starter and was named first team all-conference his junior and senior year. His team honors also include being named ‘Rookie of the Year’ as a freshman and two-time Team MVP. Ryan was also awarded the Drummond High School 'Male Athlete of the Year' as a senior. After high school, Ryan went on to pitch at UW-River Falls and has continued to play amateur baseball throughout Wisconsin for the past 12 years.

Ryan is entering his 8th year as Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at Ellsworth High School. In 2012 Ellsworth was the Wisconsin Division 2 State Runner-Up, which was the first state appearance in school history. In 2013 Ellsworth followed up that accomplishment by appearing in the their second straight state tournament. Following the season Ryan was awarded as the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association District 1 Assistant Coach of the Year.

Outside of the spring baseball season, Ryan works with pitchers in one-on-one or small group settings. Ryan is a certified National Pitching Association Instructor. Ryan also a pitching and fielding instructor for the U.S. Baseball Academy Spring Training Camp held in River Falls.
