More About Coach Ryan

I have been a Professional Baseball Player for 11 years, Professionally Coached for 1 year, and have been a High School Coach for 15 years. Through these years of playing and coaching, I have started to give pitching lessons from all the experiences and teachings that I have acquired through my career. Baseball is FUN and should be taught in that aspect, but there is also hard work required to reach your goals.

There are many different strategies and philosophies that can be taught to young players, but I firmly believe that working hard, being coach-able, and being mentally tough is what will take your talent to another level. These are all things that I teach and preach during my lessons, along with valuable pitching instruction. Proper warm ups, stretching, long toss, pitching mechanics, mental attitude, fielding, arm & body exercises, being athletic and age appropriate pitches are all taught during the lessons. Every pitcher is different and unique, and I believe each pitcher needs to be instructed differently. These lessons are NOT focused on velocity!!! That will naturally come in time when body maturity & weight training happen. Obviously velocity may come out of better mechanics and that may be a bonus, but it's not my focus. You're a good pitcher because you know how to pitch, not because you throw hard. EVERY lesson is dictated on when the last time you/the child threw and how much. Too many stressful pitches (game & instructional pitches) throughout the year can lead to arm problems down the way. It's ALWAYS important to pay attention and keep track of how much you/your child is pitching throughout the year. These lessons are meant to be FUN along with dedication to become a better pitcher!"

Coach Ryan is a great coach. He explains things well and breaks things down so it is easy to implement and see improvement. I have learned a lot in just a few lessons and will continue working with Coach Ryan.

Great coach, patient, can learn a lot from him

Coach Ryan did a great job with my son. Wes had a great time, couldn’t stop talking about what he had learned. You can definitely see a professional at work with coach Ryan. I’ll certainly be scheduling more lessons with coach Ryan.

Coach Ryan was great with my 9 year old. Very mindful and intent on his delivery and mechanics. He made it fun for my son to learn and understand how to use his body while pitching. We will definitely be setting up some more sessions.

I would recommend Coach Ryan hands down. His first session with our 9 year old was outstanding. He was very attentive and gave clear instructions to our son on what he needs to focus and work on. Our son really enjoyed it and has been putting his new-learned techniques to work. We all very much look forward to future sessions.

Coach Ryan is clearly an accomplished baseball player who knows the skills that developing players need. He is also very effective at communicating his baseball knowledge and the sessions are always both impactful and enjoyable. My 12 year old son has benefitted greatly from Coach Ryan's instruction.

Coach Ryan was just what my son needed. He was aligned with my son in the way he talked and taught some great exercises. After just the first lesson my son improved his pitching considerably. We will definitely book another lesson with Coach Ryan soon.

Coach Ryan did an amazing job with my 8 year old son. We explained that he needed help with consistency when pitching and Coach worked with him on how to set up and have consistent execution every time. He also did some drills with him that will help him be better in the field. At the end he took time to explain everything he went over and some tips on what he could do at home to continue improving. When we left the park I immediately booked our next session with him. My son is looking forward to next week 😀

Coach Ryan breaks down pitching fundamentals in an easy to learn manner that allows a younger pitcher the ability to make improvements to their technique.

I scheduled a pitching session with Coach Ryan for my 2 boys who play club baseball (ages 14 and 11) and came away impressed. He made an immediate connection with the boys and made the session fun for them. He was quick to evaluate their pitching mechanics, used drills to fine tune some things and gave them some drills to work on between lessons. Very reasonably priced for the expertise he brings and looking forward to the next session.

Excellent couching skills. Make for player want to excel. Highly recommended by us.

We really enjoyed our session with Coach Ryan. He was great with my son, quite knowledgeable regarding pitching, and was able to communicate what he needs to work on to continue growing as a player. Thanks coach!

My son had a wonderful 1st session with Coach Ryan. He was very patience, knowledgeable and provided a lot of great techniques on field as well suggestions training at home. We are looking forward to our 2nd session with Coach Ryan.

Coach Ryan is an amazing coach and equally importantly a great person. We had our 1st session for my 10 year old last Sunday. Right off the bat, he made my son comfortable, joking with him and establishing a great rapport with him.

He then proceeded to run a great 45 mins practice session, doing drills, helping him with his stance, giving him tips to improve his form and more importantly things my son need to work on his own.

I would recommend Coach Ryan to everyone.

Coach Ryan was a great coach. He seemed quite knowledgeable about everything he was talking about. The analogies that he makes there be a new perception as to why something needs to happen. He will help you with any problem that you have, and he is always willing to answer any questions.

Coach Ryan was a good coach, the thing that i like about him was the knowledge of baseball. And giving feedback on each pitch, telling me what i did right and what i did wrong. He also taught me that pitching is not just throwing the ball it also is fielding, and running to first base to cover. Overall it was a great first day with coach Ryan.

Coach Ryan is just what we were looking for. He is not the guy that just makes your son throw the whole lesson and provide a bit of feedback here and there. He breaks up the time to work on not just pitching but being a pitcher. If your going to pitch you need to field your position and be agile and those things are all part of his workout. Highly recommend Coach Ryan. We have found our guy!

Absolutely wonderful with my 10 year old son, he was able to break things down simply for him to follow and taught him some great defensive skills to use while pitching.

Found Coach Ryan on the app here and with good reviews decided we'd try him out as my boys (3 of them) need some good and disciplined instruction. We've had two sessions so far and my boys love him. He's teaching them in ways I've never thought of, keeps it light but makes his point. We'll definitely continue with Coach Ryan. He has the tools and knowledge to take your child to that next level.

Very knowledgeable. Worked good with my son. Only one session so far but going for more.

Coach Ryan was quick to respond to my request. In fact my son was on the field with Coach Ryan 3 days after reaching out to him. Once there, Coach Ryan immediately connected with my son on a personal level and assessed exactly what my son needed to improve on. Especially impressed on the emphasis of having fun with baseball and developing on an individual basis. Will be booking many more sessions.

Coach Ryan was awesome!! My son has always loved baseball, but lately has not been excited to play. Within 15 minutes of coach Ryan working with him, he had the smile and drive that has been missing this season. After only one session his little league coaches noticed a difference. I will definitely be scheduling more sessions and highly reccomend Coach Ryan. Thanks for everything!!

Coach Ryan is a God send...he is great with kids, patient, knowledgeable, and very effective. I would highly recommend him.

My 8 year old son really enjoyed working with Coach Ryan in their first session. The coach created a positive atmosphere that was fun while still being very productive. My son couldn't wait to practice some of the skills that Coach taught him and is excited for the next lesson. This is exactly what we were looking for and couldn't recommend Coach Ryan more for this age group!

Coach Ryan has been great with my 8 year old son. He is patient, kind and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.

My son loved Coach Ryan! He explained things in a way that made sense could be made into daily habit. We are so grateful to have met him so that our son could learn proper techniques that would keep him pitching not only accurately but safely. Keeping our son healthy is so important to him. Thanks so much Ryan! We appreciate coaches like you!

Thanks Coach Ryan.
Matthew really enjoyed himself today at the lesson. He also felt comfortable that he could learn a lot from you.
I would like to have more conversation with you about Matthew's front (plant) foot and toe position so we can work it out to help Matthew become his best.
I agree that he needs to be more consistent with his release point. And, you bring up a great point about him carrying his entire body through the pitch, not just his arm.
You also made a great point about throwing through the catchers glove - not just to it.

Again, thank you. Great 1st lesson. See you next lesson.
Michael
