More About Coach Royce

Most of my experience has been through coachup. I am ranked 1st in NJ for track and field, and I have over 20 five star reviews from my clients. My rebooking rate is near 80%. I coach football on hear as well, and soccer players and various other athletes have sought me out to help them get faster. I feel that the speed and agility coaching would be a natural fit.

16 time NJ state champion. Meet of Champs champ in 400M dash, 400M Intermediate hurdles, and javelin. Ivy league champion in 400M dash. South Jersey Track and Field Hall of Fame.

I always try to gather information before we meet to set a basic outline for how the session will go. This is normally with the parent. When I meet with the athlete I'll ask them questions too, because sometimes the information I get will be different. Based what the parents and kids are telling me I'll customize the workout, but we will stick to this basic routine.

Break a sweat by jumping rope for 5-8 minutes
Dynamic stretching including striders, side shuffle and back pedaling
Plyometrics
Over distance on track
I will likely time them in a 40 or 60 yard dash to set a benchmark
Med ball
Hang cleans with bumper weights
ladder drills

My first session with Coach Royce went extremely well. He gave me very helpful pointers that will help to improve my technique in throwing the javelin and ultimately throw further. In addition to improving my technique, Coach Royce gave me ways to improve my strength. He did some physical fitness tests to determine what areas of body strength I need to focus on most. He then gave me exercises to improve in these areas. This will also help me to throw further. Coach Royce was very detailed and clear in his explanations and instructions, and he is determined to help me to throw further and become a better athlete.

Coach Royce is very prepared and has a game play going into each training session. This is my son's 5th session with Coach Royce. He has shown great improvement with his times, technique and overall stamina. Coach Royce keeps stats of every session and puts up great feed back on this site. My son is running cross country.
