July 2000 – August 2005 (5 years 2 months) Southeast US
White had short stents in Minor League Baseball as a 1st Baseman and Closing Pitcher due to injuries in 2000 through 2002 and finally ended up playing the dual rolls in Independent Baseball in the Southeastern Professional Baseball League. White received his first opportunity to coach from Frrank Evans, the SEPBL's Director of Player Personnel, during the 2003 season as Pitching Coach for the Americus Arrows. 30 games into the season White was appointed as Acting General Manager upon the unexpected and unanticipated departure of the GM. Because of financial issues within the team owner ranks, the team folded midseason, and White then became a player/assistant coach- Bullpen- for the Montgomery Wings. During the 2004 season, White remained on the coaching staff as Bullpen Coach for the Wings but was also assigned the responsibility of Assistant General Manager which included team marketing as well as game day operations.
Upon the announcement by City of Montgomery Officials that a deal was struck to locate a Double A affeliate of the Tampa Bay Rays in Montgomery, the Montgomery Wings ownership disbanded the team.

During a session, we perform a ton of drill work that focuses on teaching proper movements and not positions. Hitting, pitching, and throwing are extremely complex movement patterns for young players to perform efficiently with explosiveness and athleticism. When you teach players positions, they tend to move like robots and lose their athleticism. Therefore, I’ve learned and developed dozens of drills that focus on movement segments in the swing and pitching delivery. This helps players understand how each movement segment works.
I typically get players to ‘feel’ a certain drill(s) and then try to blend the drill(s) into the regular swing, pitch, or throw. I use a concept called blending where our goal is to get the drill to carry over to our game time swing or pitching delivery. The typical pattern for the blending concept is to alternate drill, pitch, drill, pitch, drill, pitch until they start feel a carry over. An example of blending for hitting would be a drill on tee, regular swing on tee, front toss swing, five live swings then back to tee. We always want to go back to the drill to remind our body of the movement we’re working on. This takes several rounds to carry over and sometimes several practices. We believe this is the quickest way to get movements to carry over to game time, and that’s what practice is all about – preparing for the game. Blending, in addition to the video analysis, helps speed up the learning process like nothing I’ve ever seen before.

Coach Rod is great! After one session, I could see a difference in my son immediately. He also explained everything in detail. Gave us his expectations he expected from us and ended with letting us know what our next steps and goals would be for the next session. It was great working with someone with great experience and knowledge.
Elvin Lowe, Sr., Father of Elvin “EJ” Lowe, Jr. Junior Catcher/1st Base Jeff Davis High (Testimonial)
The only obstacle in our mind that had us a little concerned was the price but after looking at what we were getting as far as actual training time and instruction on proper technique and the reinforcement of skills and mechanics, you couldn't beat it. I can really say that since we started using IMPACT, EJ has hit the ball more consistently and harder than ever before driving the ball into the baps. He has become more of a consistent gap-to-gap hitter and he is much happier with performances than ever before. The major thing that I like about IMPACT is the depth of knowledge Coach White has and how uses his drills to teach and instill great mechanics. Before his allows guys to pick of a bat, he makes them go through a series of motions and drills to reinforce techniques, which is big to me because it creates consistency in the swing… I also like how Coach White has his training with a limited number of students creating a more hands on training approach. If you are really interested in helping your child increase his skill set in the game, I highly recommend the IMPACT Baseball and Softball Academy. It has really helped EJ this season and we will continue at IMPACT even in the off season.
Tiffany Washington, Mother of Cori Trotter, Junior Right Fielder, Prattville High Jr. Varsity (Testimonial)
The obstacle in my mind that would have prevented us from using the IMPACT Baseball and Softball Academy and Coach White would have been cost but after I called and received pricing info, I realized the prices at the Academy are very affordable in comparison to other places and for the training Cori receives. As a result of using IMPACT, my son has gone from striking out at every ‘at bat’ to hitting the ball at every at bat including going 3 for 3 in his last game. As a 9th grader, there was an adjustment from Jr. High to High School ball and the coaches and facilities he had been weren’t able to help Cori with the skills he needed to get better. The specific feature that I like most about IMPACT is the knowledge the coaches know about the game and how they are able to teach it to the kids. Also, even though they are group classes, they really give the feel of one-on-one with the coaches. They never schedule a bunch of kids for the same time so that they are able to work with the kids one-on-one. I would highly recommend and already have recommended IMPACT to others. Baseball is a sport that constantly needs work and training. So many times we, as parents, let our kids just play without the proper instruction. IMPACT instructs to get the kids prepared for the next level and beyond in this game. They teach them the skills to play this sport for life.
Slay Stevens, Father of Brock Stevens 2013 Greaduate Trinity Presbyterian Varsity University of South Alabama (Testimonial)
IMPACT Baseball has enabled my son to be more of a complete player; from both the physical and mental aspects of the game. The various drills used in his workout sessions have helped my son focus on strengthening his mechanics at the plate and on the mound. These drills are designed to increase performance and he has found them to be most effective. Brock’s approach at the plate has dramatically helped him increase his batting average as well as his on base percentage. He has hit with more power and has been able to drive in more runs, as needed from a cleanup hitter. From a pitching standpoint, Brock has increased his velocity by utilizing more drive from his legs and by using better mechanics he learned from his sessions at IMPACT. Coach White communicates with his clients in a manner they can understand. He wants to know what is going on through their minds so he can get a feel for what needs correcting or improving upon. Coach White gives clear instructions so each client can improve their overall performance. I highly recommend Coach White and the IMPACT Baseball & Softball Academy to any player that wants to take their game to a higher level.
