I have been coaching high school varsity basketball for 17 years. I am currently working as an assistant varsity boys coach at The Rivers School in Weston, MA, but have been a head varsity boys coach at Roosevelt HS in Seattle and St. Rita HS in Chicago. I typically work with high school and middle school players, but have worked with players in grades 4-6 and will work with any adult recreational players. I have been a member of the NABC, Illinois Coaches Association, and the Tip it up Coaches Network.

I played high school varsity basketball on two state title contenders and knew right away that I wanted to be involved in basketball for the rest of my life. I did not play in college and immediately got into the coaching field working camps and volunteering as an assistant at the high school level

My main focus is on improving individual offensive skills. The first 20 minutes will be assessing players abilities and then breaking down weaknesses into specific drills using multiple skills. The instruction and plan will depend on the players, but the goal during the workout will be to get 500 shots up along with improving ball skills and conditioning. After the session, I leave players with drills they can do on their own.
