Client Reviews

Very knowledgeable and does a great job of meeting the athletes on their level.

(Alumni) Rob You have a special way of training, never loud but so very effective. You gave me the ability to self-correct, thinking back I would say that is the biggest gift you could have given me. You taught me to understand what causes my errors and then the skill to successfully make the appropriate adjustment. With you I learned things like, blocking is not defensive but an offensive move, how to become an effective attacker, how to read my opponents and numerous other skills. Your method of training helped me in my confidence and abilities as a player, for all of that I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart. . . . I will leave St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Invasion Volleyball Club and head south to the University of Georgia. I will always remember you saying, "hang in there." It was your way of saying not right yet, but you can get it. I am sure there will be a huge adjustment playing college volleyball but I am going to remember your words "hang in there Meg" and when I get it, I will hear you say "Good Job Meg, just right". Thank you to a world class trainer. I am lucky to have had you in my corner! Meg Spencer, University of Georgia, St. Thomas Acquinas High School, Overland Park, Kansas ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Rob - Thank you so much for helping me over the years become the player I am today. When I started coming to you I was very rough around the edges and you really improved my technique and over-all attitude towards the game. I love how you taught me to not only become a more dynamic player, but how you were able to show me how to correct my mistakes on my own. It really helped me become more coachable and during games I was able to realize what adjustments needed to be made. I now am starting Varsity at Saint Teresa's Academy and I really do owe it to you. You helped me become a better player and teammate throughout the years and I can't thank you enough! Thanks again. Sarah Godfrey, St. Teresa High School, Kansas City, Missouri _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Rob Kaleikau has been more than another contributor to my volleyball 'career'. He transformed my game in every aspect. From fundamental serving and defensive skills to quick reaction time and fast anticipation of the ball, he truly brought me where I am today. Last year we worked together on a regular basis, twice a week, and it completely changed the way I play the game. Not only does he keep his players moving and constantly in contact with the ball, but he also explains everything so clear. I have never been taught by someone quite like him. His outlook on the game is very understandable and the way he describes things not only makes sense in your head, but also registers so well with your game and execution. For example, when I was really struggling with my passing form, he broke down my platform in three pieces: high, medium, and low. Passing with a high platform causes a shorter, higher pass and a low platform allows for a longer, lower pass. Although it seems pretty basic, the actual explanation made so much sense in my head and having someone really talk-out the elements of the game and show you why what does this and what does that helped A LOT. Rob Kaleikau has taught me everything from fundamental passing stance to intricate methods of defense. He opens your eyes to all the ways you can play the ball from any position off of anything that may come over the net. He is an encouraging, smart coach and stepped up my game immensely. The drills we do and the huge amount of reps you get improves your game incredibly. He teaches you how to do everything from how to hit the floor to precise serving techniques to how to get some great kills even if you're only 5'6". Rob's passion for volleyball rubs off on all his players and gives them not only a drive to work hard, but a great deal of noticeable improvement. Thanks again for all you helped me with Rob !! Aubrey Rumore, Bishop Miege High School, Overland Park, Kansas _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ I started taking lessons from Rob at the age of 12, and he molded me into an amazing athletic volleyball player, pushing me to my limits. Through his teachings, he has impacted my life outside the realm of volleyball. I was not born to be an olympic athlete-- that is not my calling-- but because of him I grew as a person and learned more than I ever thought a mere sport could teach me. I couldn’t have asked for a better coach.
