More About Coach Robert

Having many years of professional experience, I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge to the next generation about baseball and strength and conditioning. All ages 6-Adult.

I was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2002 Draft as a shortstop from Miami Southridge Senior High School by the Florida Marlins. In September 2005, I had my Major League Debut with the Florida Marlins at 21 years old. In 2006 and 2007, I was a Triple-A Affiliate of the Florida Marlins All-star and finished the year with the Major League team that year. In 2007, I was named to the 2007 Mid-Season and Post-Season All-star Teams. In 2008, I was in the Major Leagues with the Florida Marlins all year. In 2009, I was traded to the Baltimore Orioles and from there I spent four years with the team. In 2011, I was a part of what baseball calls the best night in baseball history and was in the documentary called 162 on EPSN, which was when I eliminated the Boston Red Sox from playoff berth. After the 2011 season, I finished third in fielding in American League for second basemen, trailing Dustin Pedroia and Robinson Cano. In 2012, I was opening day second baseman with the Baltimore Orioles and I was fourth in All-star voting for all second baseman in the American League until my injury. I came back from injury and made the playoffs with the Orioles. We won a wildcard game against the Texas Rangers and went on to play a 5-game series and lost to the New Yankees in game 5. In 2013, I was traded to the Seattle Mariners and that same year in August I was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 2016, I signed with the Miami Marlins and was also leading my Triple-A team in hitting until I was recalled to the Miami Marlins team where I finished the year in the Major Leagues. For the 2017 season, I signed back with the Baltimore Orioles.

I do half hour or hour sessions, one on one or in groups. I will evaluate and create an individualized plan to improve your child for the next level. I will help transform your child's game and performance as an athlete with strength and conditioning as well as every aspect of the game of baseball. All positions at all experience levels will be able to develop and be given insight to better their future and become a professional.
