More About Coach Robby

I have my National Personal Trainer Certification and I currently coach high school lacrosse in Salisbury. I also have a First Aid/CPR/AED certification. I spend the "off-season" with the athletes as their strength conditioning and agility coach showing them proper form, technique, injury prevention methods, and improving their explosive power and strength. I've worked with players of all skill levels and ages; from youth and high school players that've never touched a stick to highly talented collegiate recruits.

I'm currently employed as the Health and Wellness Coordinator at M.A.C Inc. (Maintaining Active Citizens) in Salisbury, Maryland. I work with and train our senior citizens in the gym by developing personalized exercise programs based on their personal goals, fitness level, and medical history. Every day I work closely with members that have a variety of joint problems, chronic diseases, and people that have been released from rehab or physical therapy.

I grew up in Fairfax, Virginia and played Madlax during the summers until I was recruited my junior year by multiple colleges and universities. I was recruited to play at Salisbury University and I graduated in 2011. My dedication, enthusiasm, and intense work ethic gained the respect of the team and coaching staff but I ultimately decided to play club ball. After my 4 years we ended with the best over-all record in school history, always making it to the final 4, and winning the championship in 2010. I continue to play the sport I love everyday and plan on doing so for years to come. Lax Often...

Sessions will vary for each athlete. I offer FREE ASSESSMENTS that provide me and the athlete a baseline understanding of their stick skills, muscular endurance and strength, acceleration, speed, and agility. These FREE ASSESSMENTS help me design an effective program based on the individual and also are a great measure to show tangible progress and improvement. MOST IMPORTANTLY the FREE ASSESSMENTS give YOU the athlete and YOU the parent an opportunity to get to know me and decide if you are comfortable and would like to continue working with me.

Once a personalized plan is developed, sessions will involve varying components based on the athlete's performance goals. PHASE 1: We will always have our athlete perform a dynamic warm up to prepare the heart and muscles for training and reduce risk of injury. PHASE 2: Agility drills, explosive power exercises, and plyometric work will precede any (PHASE 3:) muscular strength and endurance work. PHASE 4: Stick skill work and "Lacrosse IQ" exercises will be the majority of the session and often times incorporated into all phases. PHASE 5: Cool-Down, this is a critical component where the athlete is stretched post-workout to DRASTICALLY INCREASE RECOVERY TIME and DECREASE RISK OF INJURY.

Client Reviews

He is a wonderful coach....My son is very happy to practice with him...My son's lacrosse skills improved greatly after his lessons with coach Robby...Thanks Coach Robby...☺☺☺

Coach Robby is great. He focuses on strength and endurance as well as specific lacrosse skills. My son enjoyed the workouts but didn't really correlate the workouts to his lacrosse skills. It was fun to watch the light bulb click when he figured out that what he was learning from coach Robby made a difference on the field. Now he can't wait for Wednesdays.

Robby is incredible!! His knowledge and enthusiasm for the game has been great for my son. He looks forward to every session. His skill level as well as his understanding of the game is translating to the field in practice and games. Sessions are extremely productive and fast paced while being educational with enough repetition to make sure that he gets it. He gets drills to work on during the week that are speeding his progress weekly.
Thank you Robbie. See you next week!
