More About Coach Rico
I coach all levels of athletes, ranging from amateur to professional. I have coached D2 Men's Basketball at Western Oregon University in the 2010-2011 season as a Player Development Coach. I currently teach for the LA School District, where I am the Head Varsity Coach for the boys team in the Los Angeles City section. My team has had playoff appearances in each of the four seasons that I've coached with a Los Angeles City Playoff Final Four Tournament appearance in 2018. My team's record was 12-0 and we were Conference League Champions. In addition, I am a Community College Kinesiology Instructor with a field focus in body fitness and nutrition.

I allow the client to give me areas of focus, for which I will develop a customized workout plan that suits their needs. I am very detailed, in which all my clients are happy with. They appreciate that I can break any move to its smallest form. I come prepared with the proper equipment, ranging from basketballs, cones, resistance bands, speed and agility tools, medicine balls and footwork to enhance the workout session in reaching my client's full potential.

Coach Rico is a very friendly coach and knows what each player needs to do and develop in order to play at the next level. He gets deep into a certain move and tries to perfect the move so it can be effective. He also tries to start with the basics and the fundamentals before doing a certain move, so the player can build on it and be able to use it in a real game. He knows the game very well and it is shown in his coaching!
