More About Coach Rickey
I’ve coached and trained athletes for over 7 years through the City of Irving and the B.I.G. D.O.G.S. organization, working with youth from ages 6 to 18 and helping develop talent from beginner to elite levels, including players like WNBA’s Odyssey Sims. My experience spans youth to high school levels, and I’m currently pursuing USA Basketball Coaching Certification to complement my hands-on expertise.
I was ranked the #1 guard in Texas and #55 nationally, earning a scholarship to compete at the Division I level in the SEC, where I was named to the SEC Honor Roll for two consecutive years. Throughout my career, I played against top-tier competition and built a reputation for leadership, work ethic, and high-level performance on the court.
A typical session with me starts with a dynamic warm-up and ball-handling to get the athlete physically and mentally locked in. From there, we focus on game-speed drills tailored to their position—whether it’s footwork, shooting mechanics, finishing through contact, or defensive movement. I break down each skill, then build it up with live reps and situational work. Sessions always end with conditioning, confidence-building, and a quick recap so the athlete understands their progress and what to work on next.

Client Reviews
Ronnie Brewer (Chicago Bulls) (Testimonial)
( NBA Professional) left me a message telling me how impressed he was- not just with my game, but with the way I carried myself on and off the court. That meant a lot coming from someone whos been where I'm trying to go.
