With over a decade of professional playing experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the goalkeeper coaching role. As a former professional goalkeeper, I have honed my skills at the highest levels of the game.
With over a decade of playing in the Jamaican Premier League, I have had the privilege of winning multiple championships and earning several individual awards, including Goalkeeper of the Year. In addition to my success at the club level, I have proudly represented Jamaica on the international stage, earning 10 caps with the national team. My professional career has been marked by consistent excellence and recognition, showcasing my skills and dedication to the sport.
In a typical session with me, clients can expect a comprehensive, high-energy workout designed to enhance all aspects of their goalkeeping abilities. Each session begins with a dynamic warm-up to prepare the body and mind for training.
We then move on to specific drills that focus on key techniques such as shot-stopping, positioning, distribution, and footwork. I incorporate a variety of exercises that simulate game-like scenarios, helping goalkeepers improve their reflexes, decision-making, and overall game awareness.
For example, we might start with agility drills to sharpen quick movements and reflexes, followed by handling exercises to reinforce catching and ball control. Next, we might work on diving techniques, using progressive drills that build from low-intensity to high-intensity scenarios.
Communication and decision-making are also critical, so I include exercises that require goalkeepers to interact with defenders and make split-second decisions under pressure.
Throughout the session, I provide personalized feedback and adjustments to ensure each goalkeeper is continually improving. My approach is tailored to the individual, focusing on their specific needs and goals to help them develop confidence and consistency in their performance.
By the end of the session, goalkeepers will have had a challenging yet rewarding workout, equipped with new skills and insights to apply in their games.
