More About Coach Richard

I have been coaching baseball since I was 13 years old, coaching my younger brother who is now 17 years old looking to get a division 1 scholarship. I have always found a love for teaching someone the right way to play the game. And seeing them improve with time and building their confidence while we go.

I was selected in the 4th round of the 2007 MLB draft out of Wolfson high school as a 3rd baseman. I was the first position player selected by the New York Mets that year. I played with the Mets from 2007-2013 reaching Double A, playing in the Eastern league for the Binghamton Mets. I have had numerous player of the week awards as well as 3rd baseman of the year for the mets, and also defensive player of the month numerous times for my work at 3rd base and 1st base. I was an All Star in 2010, 2012, and 2015, as well as post season All star in 2009.

Our initial session will be me getting to know you and see where your strengths and weaknesses are, whether it be hitting in the cage, or taking ground balls on the field. Then I will put together a plan based on each individual to meet his or her specific needs. Every player is different with a different skill set, so whatever works for one player might not necessarily work for your son or daughter. So we will find what works best.
