More About Coach Richard

The Martial Arts in general have always been apart of my life and left a positive effect. Through the years of training, I've grown to love not only the physical workout it can provide, but the ability to express yourself. As an art form, you have the ability to make it your own, and that's what I wish to share with you. The art of Muay Thai Kickboxing is what I would love to share. I have about 7+ years in the sport as a fighter and a coach. I've spent those years training under Master Andy K. in Sacramento, CA. Under coach Master Andy K., I've trained fighters on many different levels, helping to develop fighting techniques and mindsets needed to prepare them for the challenges to come.

The training that Muay Thai provides is a mixture of endurance and strength training. Cardio and technique are of the utmost important when training in any fight art. Through cardio and technique, speed and strength will be obtained.

I'm really excited to get started with you. I hope not only to develop the body but the mind as well. The training I wish to personally provide will be tough, but I promise to be there for you every step of the way to accomplishing your goals. Martial Arts experience includes: Muay Thai, Kenpo and Karate.

Fight experience includes: Multiple amateur Muay Thai fights, Muay Thai amateur title fight, multiple National/International Karate tournaments.

The 1 hour session that I wish to share will include road work/jump rope, into stretching. Then on to shadow boxing, where you will practice simple to advanced techniques of Muay Thai. Then we'll move on to heavy bag work, where you will use those same techniques on a stationary target held by myself. After 2/3 minute rounds on the bag we'll move on to focus mitt work where the first 2 rounds will be focusing on hand and elbow strike combinations. The Next 2 rounds we will be using Thai pads for hand, knee and leg strike combinations.

Lastly we'll finish with an aggressive core exercise. Not only do I want to give you a great workout, but a good understanding of the fighting arts. What ever level you might feel you are at in this point in time, I wish to help you in every way that I know how.

Rich does a great job at teaching technique and making sure you go at the right pace. He takes care of his clients well.

Let me start and say I had the time of my life training with Richard. I am a newbie with the whole aspect of training and having a trainer. So when I first reached out to Richard, he helped me with what goals I wanted to obtain. Like the usual stuff, fitness, grasp the fundamental or just straight up be a badass. I wanted a little bit of everything, I had let him know of my back issues and things I can and cant do. He set out a game plan for me and let me know beforehand what items were needed for session. Had my first session on 1/27/19, a little sore from the training but I can't wait to have more with him.

I have had one session so far, but can say that i am looking forward to more. Coach Richard knows how to motivate and push your limits.

Richard is very qualified to train anyone at any level. My 20 year old daughter is now getting help from Richard for a up coming fight in the WFC .

If I could give more stars I would. Coach Richard is absolutely amazing. The whole experience from start to finish was absolutely fantastic. I could tell he truly has a love and a passion for what he does. It was probably the best work out I have had in a long time if not ever. He taught me proper technique and was so patient with me every step, kick and punch along the way. I highly recommend coach Richard to everyone and anyone. I can not wait for my next session!!!
