More About Coach Ryan

Coach Ryan Ang have trained over 300 athletes and over 10 basketball teams both in the United States and in foreign countries such as Japan, Brazil, Australia! He was also the lead basketball trainer for numerous amounts of camps and clinics among the tristate area!

He currently have over 8 years of basketball experience including 2 years (ongoing) as a Division 1 head basketball manager for FDU, 3 years of being a basketball trainer, and 3 years of high school basketball.

Coach Ang is also certified in CPR / BLS, psychological first aid, and interpersonal and social rhythm therapy.

The FDU Men's basketball team selected Coach Ryan Ang to be their manager for the 2021-2022 basketball season. The following year, Coach Ryan Ang was promoted to head basketball manager for the 2022-2023 basketball season.

In 2018, Coach Ang received an award of All First Team and All Defensive Team by the JCAA Commissioners Cup.

Coach Ang was awarded the Most Valuable Player during the 2017 Summer Asian Invitational Basketball Tournament Bantam Division.

The very first training session is called "Evaluation Day." Evaluation Day is when Coach Ang can assess the athlete's strengths and weaknesses. From there, the training sessions will adapt to the athletes needs and target their weaknesses as well as maintaining their strengths.

The following training sessions will ultimately be customized to the athletes needs. For example, if the athlete lacks in ball handling skills, my training sessions will focus on ball handling drills as well as offensive moves to the basket, etc.

Hello, Just wanted to say how happy my boys were (Joseph and Benjamin Itzhaki) with coach Ryan Ang. They were signed up for the Tuesday 4:30 class. Ryan always sent me a text the day before as a reminder of the class. He was very quick to engage the kids in fun skills and drills and showed them how to do all kinds of moves and shots. He divided the class into several sections utilizing different skills and always ended the class with a fun challenge. I’m really happy they got to play some safe basketball outdoors. They have been stuck in the house for so long this was really great for them. I will definitely try to take more classes whenever I can.
