More About Coach Rafed
With over 12 years of diverse coaching experience, I have worked extensively with individual players, small groups, and competitive club teams to develop their technical, tactical, and physical skills. I am a USSF D licensed coach with a strong background as both a player and a mentor.
My playing career includes four years of college soccer with Florida Memorial University in Miami during the 2009 season, as well as three years with the Lebanese University, where I won the college league twice. I also gained valuable experience at the semi-professional level before transitioning fully into coaching.
Throughout my coaching career, I have trained athletes across all ages and levels, including two impactful years at Plantation Eagle and, most recently, at Naples Elite, where I continue to help players grow in a competitive environment. My training focuses on building confident, intelligent, and technically strong players through structured sessions tailored to individual needs.
My coaching philosophy blends modern training methods with a deep understanding of the game, ensuring each player develops the skills, mindset, and discipline needed to reach their full potential.
I competed at a high level throughout my playing career, including time with a professional U-19 team and five years in competitive college leagues. My development through both professional youth systems and collegiate soccer provided me with strong technical ability, tactical understanding, and leadership qualities that I carry into my coaching today.
1. Technical Development Session (60–75 min)
Best for: players needing sharper touch, passing, ball mastery, and confidence on the ball.
Warm-Up (10 min)
• Dynamic movement → mobility + activation
• Ball mastery (toe taps, foundations, rolls, V-moves)
Technical Work (15–20 min)
• Dribbling patterns with both feet
• Change of direction skills (Cruyff, inside cut, outside cut, stepover, L-turn)
Passing & Receiving (15–20 min)
• First-touch direction
• One-touch and two-touch passing
• Wall passes / angled passes / receiving under pressure
Applied Technique (10–15 min)
• 1v1 attacking / defending
• Combination play (give-and-go, overlap, third-man run depending on level)
Finishing (10–15 min)
• Finishing off the dribble
• Inside-the-box finishing
• Weak foot development
Cool Down + Feedback (5 min)
• Light jog, stretch
• Individual feedback & homework

Best for: improving pace, explosiveness, and coordination.

Examples:
• Striker: runs in behind, hold-up play, finishing angles
• Midfielder: scanning, body orientation, receiving under pressure
• Winger: 1v1 moves, crossing, diagonal runs
• Defender: footwork, tackling angles, building out
Tactical Situations (15 min)
• Small-sided scenarios
