Each session starts with a 10 minute dynamic warm up. For a beginning and intermediate athlete, we will go through ball handling for about 20 minutes. Stationary drills with one ball and two balls, as well as drills with movement with one and two balls. Before we worked on any shooting, I like to break an athlete's shooting form all they way down. We would start with some form shooting directly in front of the basket, reinforcing small things such as balance, elbow placement, keeping your eyes on the target, and the follow-through. We would then be able to put together our ball handling and shooting and work on making specific moves to the basket, making sure that proper footwork is being used. All sessions end with free-throws and conditioning.

For a more experienced athlete, workouts are usually at a much higher intensity. Once an athlete has a solid foundation of the fundamental skills required (ball handling, shooting form, proper footwork), I am able to put them through more advanced drills that do not require for each skill to be broken down separately.
