More About Coach Nick
I have been involved in soccer my entire life and have spent nearly 15 years coaching at the high school, competitive youth, MLS NEXT academy, and collegiate levels. I currently coach at both the collegiate and MLS NEXT academy levels. Coaching for me goes beyond developing soccer players. I believe the lessons learned through the game, discipline, accountability, communication, confidence, preparation, and dealing with adversity, can help young players develop both on and off the field. I hold UEFA B and USSF National B licenses and a Master’s degree in Soccer Coaching from Ohio University.
My playing career began in competitive youth soccer, where I played at a high level throughout the Bay Area and was invited to trial with the Bolton Wanderers International Youth Academy at age 13. I continued playing competitively through high school before progressing to the collegiate level at West Valley College, where I spent three years in the men’s soccer program, including one redshirt season. Injuries ultimately brought my competitive playing career to an end, but my experience as a player has continued to shape my approach to coaching and player development. I remain active in the game and continue to play recreationally when possible.
My sessions are organized, competitive, and built around a clear objective. We typically begin with resistance band work moving into agility ladder work then into dynamic ball work before progressing into technical exercises related to the focus of the session. From there, we increase the speed, pressure, decision making, and game realism of the exercises before finishing with finishing based activities. I want players getting a lot of meaningful touches while also understanding why we are doing each exercise and how it transfers into a game.

Nick was fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable and experienced. He was good with our 10 year old and customized the session around our son’s needs. Highly recommend.
