More About Coach Nicco
I’ve coached both privately and through Evolve Soccer in Los Angeles, and I’ve worked as a youth camp coach with ProTouch Soccer. During summer camps and private sessions, I’ve trained players ages 5–15, from beginners just learning the game to advanced players looking to sharpen their skills.
Every session is designed around the individual player. I focus on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and real game understanding—all in a fun, positive, and motivating environment that helps young athletes enjoy the game while improving every day.
I have been playing competitive soccer since the age of five, developing through top Southern California programs including Surf Soccer Club and Laguna United EA.
My progression led to being scouted internationally, where I spent two years training and competing in Colombia with elite academies, including Envigado FC and Molino Viejo FC in Liga Primera A—an environment known for producing professional players.
I have since returned to the United States to continue my development at the MLS NEXT level, while actively carving a professional pathway for myself. This journey allows me to train players with real-world insight, discipline, and a development-first mindset rooted in the modern game.
Each training program is customized to the individual player’s skill level, goals, position, and areas for improvement. Sessions are offered one-on-one or in small groups to ensure focused instruction and maximum development.
Training emphasizes:
• Technical skill development
• Tactical understanding and game intelligence
• Physical conditioning
• Mental toughness and confidence
Creative, engaging drills are used to improve ball control, passing accuracy, dribbling technique, and shooting proficiency. Players receive consistent constructive feedback and encouragement to help them grow, stay motivated, and strive for continuous improvement.
Beyond technical training, players are mentored in sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and self-discipline—both on and off the field. Strong, positive relationships are built with players, parents, and fellow coaches to create a supportive and collaborative training environment.
What a Typical 1-Hour Training Session Looks Like
Dynamic Warm-Up (5 minutes)
Light movement and mobility exercises to prepare the body, including jogging, high knees, butt kicks, leg swings, lateral lunges, arm circles, hip and ankle mobility, and jumping jacks.
Technical Warm-Up (5 minutes)
Ball-focused warm-up including short passing, ball control, dribbling, and juggling to activate touch and coordination.
Technical Skills Development (25 minutes)
• Ball control drills (toe taps, inside/outside touches, sole rolls)
• Passing and receiving (short, long, driven, and lofted passes) using a partner or wall, with emphasis on accuracy, weight of pass, and first touch
• Shooting from different angles and distances, focusing on both power and placement, while correcting technique and form
Tactical Awareness & Game Application (20 minutes)
• Position-specific drills based on the player’s role (defender, midfielder, or forward)
• Focus on positioning, movement off the ball, and decision-making in game-like situations
• Small-sided games to apply tactical concepts, emphasizing teamwork, communication, and spatial awareness
Cool Down (5 minutes)
Light jogging followed by static stretching to aid recovery and reduce injury risk.
This 1-hour personal soccer training session is designed to develop well-rounded players by improving technical ability, tactical awareness, physical readiness, and overall on-field performance. Sessions can be adjusted based on the player’s age, position, goals, and individual needs.

Client Reviews
Francisco Evangelista (Testimonial)
Nicco trained my son and made a big impact in a short amount of time. He was very focused on technical skills, work rate, and confidence, while keeping the sessions fun and engaging. My son felt comfortable with him right away and stayed motivated throughout the training. Nicco is professional, reliable, and clearly passionate about helping young players improve. We would absolutely recommend him to other families.
Shannon Henderson (Testimonial)
Nicco worked with my 12-year-old son, who plays winger, and we saw a noticeable difference in both his confidence and performance. He focused on position-specific skills like dribbling at speed, first touch, and decision-making on the wings. Nicco is patient, positive, and really knows how to connect with kids while still challenging them. My son looked forward to every session, and we truly appreciated Nicco’s professionalism and dedication.
