I have played junior college basketball for 2 year, there after playing NCAA D2 for the remainder of my college career. This past year I’ve had the opportunity to play professional overseas in spain on the EBA level. Played a second year professional in Spain.
It’s important to understand the client first, so I will use the first session to understand the aspects in which I can improve the most. There after developing a particular session plan to fit the individual.

in a sentence, Coach Neville is a God-send. On our first session, Neville not only was able to tune into what my 11-year old son needs to work on physically to improve his game, he also honed in on my son’s mental training needs by addressing things like what actually motivates my son to play basketball.
He started by closely observing my son perform simple tasks like running laps, standing in triple threat, and posting up. Then based on what he observed Neville showed my son how to use his body more effectively, doing stretching and balance related exercises with him.
Neville also spent a lot of time talking to my son as he had him do different drills and exercises, discovering and then leveraging my son’s interests (e.g., video games) as an analogy to encourage my son to apply what he’s learning in the sessions to compete at basketball better with his friends. Also in this first session, Neville offered helpful pointers to my son about everything from physical anatomy and how to avoid injuries to NBA tricks of the trade.
All around great session and I would definitely highly recommend Coach Neville to every student basketball player (or his parent:).
