More About Coach Nathan

I’ve worked with a wide range of players, from U7 coed teams to U18 boys club football.
Over the past 3+ years, I’ve consistently coached 10–15 sessions per week, building experience across all levels of the game.
I’ve also had the opportunity to learn from FIFA-certified coaches in England, Spain, and the United States, along with receiving private training from an MLS player.
In the past year, I’ve worked with players competing in MLS Next, ECNL, and at the college level.

I’ve played professionally with Michigan Stars and currently play for Carolina Core.
I’ve also competed with teams in the USL Championship, gaining experience at a high level in the U.S.
At 23, I’ve had the opportunity to train and play at the academy level in both Spain and England, which has helped shape my understanding of the game from different styles and environments.

There are four key areas every player needs to develop to reach the next level: technical, tactical, physical, and mental.

Every session I run is built around those four pillars, but it’s never one-size-fits-all. I take time to understand what each player wants to improve, then combine that with what I see they need to work on.

My goal is for players to:
Get a high number of quality touches on the ball
Understand WHY we’re doing each drill
Know exactly how it translates into real game situations

I don’t believe in just showing up, running drills, and telling players what to do. That doesn’t develop real understanding.

I’m fully involved in every session—cleats on, demonstrating each drill, correcting mistakes in real time, and pushing players to improve with purpose.

The focus is always on developing smarter, more confident players—not just running through exercises.
