More About Coach Natalie

I have worked at soccer camps for a company called Coerver in the summer since I was 15. I have also coached at day camps that my college put together. I have also trained players individually for my club team, the Colorado Rapids as well as coached small groups from the club. I coached players that are just beginning soccer as well as players who were committed to play division one soccer in college. I typically prefer to work with players that are eight years or older, but I have worked with players that have been as young as five.

I was drafted by the Portland Thorns in the NWSL in 2021. I played professionally for the Portland Thorns for two years and then played a year abroad in Prague where I competed in Champions League qualifier games. I played division one soccer at the University of Denver. Some of my accomplishments from college include: Hermann Trophy Watch List (2021), WPSL Mountain Region Player of the Year (2021), College Soccer News Preseason Third Team All-America (2021), CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team (2020), United Soccer Coaches All-West Region First Team (2020, 2021), United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Second Team (2019), Summit League Offensive Player of the Year (2020, 2021), and others.

I want the players I train to be comfortable with the ball at their feet, so I focus on getting them as many touches on the ball as possible. I focus on the basics and getting the details correct so that they have a solid foundation to continue their development on. Once they have this foundation, I enjoy creating sessions that challenge a player's ability to think quickly and push themselves out of their comfort zone so that they can continue to grow. I typically include several different types of dribbling drills, as well as juggling games and passing drills that compliment the skill level of the player I am working with. I also enjoy creating specific trainings based on the position a player is trying to play (if the player is on a team that has set positions).

Coach Natalie was a great coach. Often times coaches just facilitate giving guidance how to do an exercise having no proper technical instruction through out an exercise, but with Natalie, she provided actual technical instruction through out the session and as the session progressed, I could see my kid improving from the training, thank you.

My son really enjoyed his first session with Coach Natalie. He felt that her experience as a coach who is also currently playing gave her coaching practical insight that immediately led to an improvement of some of his technical skills. He's really looking forward to his next session. I appreciate that in her feedback Coach Natalie is good about providing concrete things to work on/pay attention to.
