More About Coach Montanize

I have worked with kids ages 6 to 18. Usually I am coaching younger age groups in helping develop there fundamentals in 2013-2015 as a head coach. I have also helped in coaching at the high school level in 2011-2012 as an assistant. 2015-2016 I have also coach our unit team in the basketball season as the head coach.

I have played at the high school varsity level from 2007-2010 where I played every position from point guard to center. A year of college ball in 2010 where I play as a big guard. I have played for the army post team in Fort Riley in 2015 and 2017 where I started as one of the post players but depending on the size of the opponent I would move to small forward. I have played for the Kuwait post team in 2014 where I played at small forward. Last I have also played on the post team in Korea in 2016-2017. I have been recommended to play on other military teams at higher levels. I have won the dunk contest in high school in 2010 and also played in the Ohio northeast All-Star game.

Typically I would start off by seeing where the client is at in their skill level by having them run through some small drills such as dribbling, shooting and passing. Once we establish where their skill level is at then we would go through drills that would help to build up not only their skills and fundamentals but also their basketball IQ.
Things we would go over would be their footwork, agility skills, dribbling and handling the ball, shooting with both spotting up and off the dribble. Defensive of footwork, learning how to get good position either for rebounding or taking a charge.

Client Reviews

Coach Montanize worked very well with my son, Divante. I like the fact that he took time to recognize and explain areas of weaknesses and strengths for Divante to give a balanced training session. Looking forward to the next session.

We had a great first practice. We left coach with a great first impression of him and what is to come. We're looking forward to our future practices and further development.

Coach Montanize was really good! I like the way he's coaching my son, he was really patient and looks really smart. I will recommend him to anybody that will need his coaching skills.
