More About Coach Mitch

Two years as an assistant coach at D3 UW-Platteville in Platteville, Wisconsin (2018, 2019) after finishing player there in 2017. Experienced with running camps and giving private lessons to athletes ages 8-23.

Played in 132 games at SS, 2B, and Catcher during a college career that ended at Division III UW-Platteville in 2017.

Lesson emphasis is equally placed on hitting and defense with an additional focus on base running and overall baseball IQ.

Foot speed and agility drills/workouts will also start every session. These can be done at lessons or the athlete can choose to do them on their own at home.

Hitting instruction is focused on bat path, timing, balance, and efficiency.

Infield instruction is focused on footwork, momentum, arm path, glove work, and catch-to-release quickness.

Catching instruction is focused on footwork, momentum, arm path, blocking position, catch-to-release quickness, and a special emphasis on receiving the low pitch.

Base running instruction is focused on maximizing leads and secondary leads, using the ground for momentum, steal starts, pick-off recognition, situational awareness, and decision making.

I reached out to Coach Mitch to help my two boys. I have been very proactive with teaching my kids the basics of hitting and throwing, but my knowledge is limited. Mitch has been able to help my boys get past the skillset they were stuck on and get to that next step/level of playing. I will continue to use his knowledge to better my boys and any of my other players.

Coach Mitch is absolutely incredible. My son left his session feeling so much more confident and excited for his next session. Mitch is great at teaching skills and teaches the player with such kindness and patience.

Very knowledgeable and energetic. He was able to connect with our son and provide relevant and actionable feedback.

I like how Coach Mitch brings himself down to Brett’s level
He really is making an impact in his game

Coach Mitch has a lot of energy and is showing my son great new skills that has really opened up his swing! He has been very flexible and understanding with schedule changes too.

Coach Mitch covered so much with Troy and it has paid off. His game today was evidence of his great teaching and Troys response to learning more from Mitch. So happy we found Mitch to help Troy out.

Both of my kids are improving in just a couple of weeks! They both are more confident and their skills are improving! A+++

My son Colt (7) had his first session with Coach Mitch this week. Coach was obviously very knowledgeable, and both interacted and communicated very well with him. The second we got in the car he would not stop talking about how much he enjoyed the lesson, and how excited he was to work on his new skills and come back to see Mitch. I highly recommend him. Already booked more lessons. Thanks coach!

Great lesson. Coach Mitch was very personable and knowledgeable. My son is a teenager and has played for years. Mitch immediately clicked with his personality and focused on where he could improve- what he needed to hear with the know how to make slight changes. Looking forward to working with him.
