More About Coach Miranda

As an older sister of 4 athletic siblings I was able to start coaching and mentoring from a young age. I have experience coaching various sports including; volleyball, football, basketball, soccer and track. Observing young athletes develop skills and their passion of the sport motivated me to keep pursuing coaching opportunities. My freshman year of high school I volunteered and began coaching middle school hurdles and long jump for a CYO track team in Lake Oswego, along with helping at basketball camps or PE classes. Through athletics and exercise I've realized what a positive impact it has on the balance of physical and mental wellbeing. During COVID the importance of movement and exercise which provided inspiration to work towards my ACE certification. I am now certified by ACE to personal train and I'm so excited to have that opportunity.

All through high school I was a part of varsity track and field and cross country. I was given the honor of being captain of my track team at two different schools, Lakeridge from 2016-2018 and Sherwood High School from 2018-2020. I took a year to do Army ROTC at OSU, and now am currently running track at Spokane Falls and got All-American last season.

Introduction Session: Walk and Talk (5 minutes), Dynamic Flexibility to develop awareness of body (10-15 minutes), Fundamental Running Drills these help all athletes to develop a good base and techniques(15 minutes), in the intro session we will also include some measurable strength work and exercise (plank, push ups, sprints, etc.) to refer back to in future sessions, Individualized Training (20-30 minutes), Warm Down and Wrap Up (10 minutes)

Regular Sessions: Dynamic Flexibility and Fundamentals (15-20 minutes), Personalized/Individualized Exercise (45 minutes-1 hour), Warm Down and Wrap Up (10-15 minutes)

My plan is to get to know you and what the goals you have are. From there I will be able to figure out how to adapt work outs for you. Besides one on one training, I can work with groups of teens and kids, where it can be just a fun activities session or specialized for a sport. The steps will be the same, with warm up, activity, then warm down.
