More About Coach Mike
Prior to this I was a kids basketball coach for ages 9-11 at my local church. I taught them the basics of basketball through positive encouragement. In addition, I participated in multiple children's basketball camps at my alma-mater, Air Force Academy, for kids ranging from 9-15. I prefer working with middle school to high school athletes desiring to step their game up, but I will accept younger kids as well!
-4 year graduated and DI college basketball athlete at the Air Force Academy.
-Made Top 10 3pt % list for the Air Force Academy (40% - career percentage)
-Three time gold medalist for Air Force and Team USA military basketball
I work on hourly sessions with one or multiple clients (depending on availability). I will work on the skills that the client wants to work on the most. I am very flexible. Most of my experience is with shooting the ball and learning proper form and motion. I like to get to know the athlete prior to the session, to see what they want to work on and to know how much experience they have in the sport. I will typically work on ball handling and control drills first, then transition into shooting drills. Again, if there are other areas that the client would like to work on, I am very willing to adjust my plan based on their needs.
