Michele is awesome. She personifies the ease, elegance, and positivity that is my goal. I have learned, and will continue to learn being a more peaceful balanced person with her as my guide.

I’ve considered myself an athlete all my life. I rode dirt bikes competitively ever since I was 13, played tennis & baseball, have done long kayak trips and backpacked the Pacific Crest Trail. What I have never done is listen to my body’s needs. I am 58 years old and deal with osteoarthritis in my neck and shoulders. I have had some knee surgeries and have abused my body in physically demanding sports. And on top of all that I haven’t been eating very healthy to put it mildly. I’ve never stretched before or after any of my activities and was never aware of how important it is to strengthen my core. Michele has given me the priceless gift of not having to give up any of my activities. With her knowledge as a corrective exercise therapist and corrective medical exercise specialist she knows exactly what is going on when I point out an ache or pain. When I say “I can’t”, she knows if it’s my mind or my body talking and she pushes me to my limits without risking an injury. As a Pilates and Yoga instructor she can show me exercises and stretches that tackle muscle groups that need special attention – I just never knew they did until I was in pain. What makes Michele such a great trainer is not only her comprehensive knowledge, but also her ability to compress it into simple explanations as to why this particular exercise is important and how it should be performed. Getting fit, healthy and strong is a process which I enjoy immensely with Michele’s help. When you work with her she truly focuses on you. She surprises you with follow up questions the next day and her great sense of humor makes an hour of training fly by. In a nutshell: Michele is the full package. I highly recommend her! Stewart Hale
Pilates for Women Only is an excellent program. I have been doing pilates training with Michelle for a couple months now. When I was in high school, I was on the swim team. My shoulder had been out of place ever since then. My right shoulder would pop out slightly while my left would stay in place. It made it extremely difficult for me to do certain weight lifting exercises, such as lateral raises and flys. After training with michelle, she was able to help me re-teach my muscles in my right shoulder how to stay in the correct place. The pilates exercises were able to "fix" those little muscles that may normally not be used too often in typical weight training. My shoulder feels amazing now! In addition, the pilates training increased my flexibility, strength, and posture. When I walk around, I feel so light on my feet! It is incredible. Michelle is a gifted and intelligent teacher. She genuinely cares about her clients and always puts their best interests first. She knows all the aspects of pilates training in and out. I would recommend this pilates training to any woman. It is nothing but a positive and rewarding experience. Thank you Michelle!!
I highly recommend this studio! I have met Michele when she was a group instructor and a personal trainer at another gym. She helped me lose over 20lbs and over 9% body fat in about 4-5 months, although I had significant injuries that limited my performance (knee, shoulder, low back). She was very perceptive and took into consideration my injuries, my goals, and my preferences (and I am very particular in what I like and do not like) and made every workout extremely efficient, challenging, interesting, and enlightening. Michele chose exercises that focused on strength, stretch and endurance at the same time, getting the most of every workout. Results did not take long to appear, and I am absolutely happy with my fitness level. Now, since she opened her own studio and since I reached my weight loss goals, I take group classes at her studio to improve my body further. In a small group setting (4-5 people), she gives each person enough attention to make sure each move is performed correctly to maximize the result and safely to avoid injuries. She offers a great variety of classes for any taste (plus personal training of course). Among others, I love Pilates Fusion (great for strength, endurance, stretch, and cardio - in one class) and Piloga (great for strength and stretch). Michele's incredible level of expertise is matched with her sweet personality. If there was a 6 star rating option, I would definitely use it, although even that would not be enough
Michele has been my trainer for almost 6 years & there's a reason I'm still with her: she is incredibly knowledgable, personable, accomidating, & can push me to get the results I want. This woman changed my life in more ways than I can explain in a yelp review. First, she knows fitness front to back & she couples that understanding to tailor an individual program to fit your needs. I had been recovering from surgery & injuries (back, shoulder, knee, ankle) but Michele was capable of noticing how to not just work around my limitations but to actually work at making the muscles in my core stronger (without injuring my back!) through a regimine of pilates, kettlebells, cardio, etc. This in turn helped me to lose over 20lbs & to get through my days without the pain I had felt for so many years before. She also has a vast array of nutritional knowledge. She is probably the only person to ever get me to understand the effects of what I put into my body & how important it is that I take care of it in the future. She is honestly the only person to get me to cut down on my intake of diet sodas & switch to water ;) My bones thank her already. I have followed her from facility to facility & I particularly like the location she is in now. It allows for group classes (Pilates, yoga, etc) in a very personalized atmosphere since class sizes never are larger than 3 people. Most of the time it will be just me or someone else in a class, which I find incredibly helpful at motivating me to not slack off but to push myself. On a side note: her prices are very reasonable which makes me love this feeling of individual service even more. As another reviewer mentioned, Michele works out with you. She does not sit & bark orders like other trainers at other gyms. She wants you to feel comfortable & at ease. She is always going around to look at your posture to make sure you are doing things correctly so you won't injure yourself & be sore later. This is something I've learned is the greatest tool she has. She truly wants you to succeed & will push you to see results but will NEVER do so at the expense of your own pain! Michele is truly in a class by herself & I highly recommend her to every single person I come across.
