Michael Jonkins has been coaching High School baseball for the last 12 years.

He has coached at the EmeryWeiner School, Strake Jesuit, Westbury and Madison High School. He helped lead EmeryWeiner to its first State Championship in 2017. He has trained kids in the Houston Area, and the Woodlands Area for the past 12 years.

Coach Jonkins has assisted over 500 kids go on to play collegiate baseball, and over 25 have been drafted in the

Coach Jonkins started his own select baseball program in 2015. During the first year of the program, the team finished top 5 in the state of Texas. His drive and excitement are connected to the growth of the baseball program moving forward in the future.

Coach Jonkins number one goal for each kid in his program, is to develop athletes that can compete at the school level and hopefully play college baseball one day.

I played College Baseball at Praire View A&M University. I would help lead my team to 2 Conference Championships. We would go on to play in the NCAA tournament, to have a chance to play in the College World Series.
For the last 15 years, I have been coaching high school baseball. I would win one state championship and help send over 500 kids to play college baseball, and 30 kids would go on to the MLB Draft.

I like to start with the fundamentals, and see where the athlete skill level is at. And what tweaks and adjustments we need to make from there.
If we working on hitting, I like to start on the tee and warm up there. Then move to soft toss, short toss, and live pitching at the end. Each station is a slow process.
