I have worked with youth from fourth grade, through high school, as well as adult's at the college level. I hold ASEP Certification.
After playing, four years of high school basketball, at Englewood H.S., in Chicago, illinois, I accepted a basketball scholarship, and enrolled at Lincoln University, In Jefferson City, Missouri. I left the school, returned to Chicago, worked for a year, and enrolled at Southern Illinois University, in Carbondale, Illinois. I tried out as a walk on, and was selected to the team. The following year, I entered the United States Army. After the service, I returned to Chicago, Illinois and, enrolled at Kennedy- King College. I also tried out, and was selected on to the team. I was the starting power forward on a very successful team that won our conference, and went on to the National Junior College Tournament.
A client, that is interested in becoming a complete basketball player must focus on, and, master the fundamentals, both defensively, and, offensively. Both proper defensive skill development, and, offensive skills development drills will be used to help each player improve. In addition mental, and, physical conditioning, along with skills development are incorporated into training, to assist the player in development of the proper attitude of good sportsmanship, fair play, and the meaning of playing on a team.
