More About Coach Michael
I've been a personal trainer specializing in boxing for 10 years. I've coached both amateur and novice boxers. I coached at Team Savage in Downtown LA with Pastor Omar. The goal of the majority of my clients is to primarily improve their overall physique, lose body fat, and better cardiovascular health. With a lesser emphasis on fundamentals and techniques of boxing. However, I can also train clients whose primary goal is fighting.
I played football at Georgetown College in Kentucky. I was an NAIA All-American and two time all conference at defensive end. I won a Kentucky Toughman Competition and the Indiana Golden Gloves. I boxed for All-American heavyweights from 2008-09 in Carson, CA. I had 45 amateur fights.
Typical sessions run 40-45 minutes. I'll wrap your hands if necessary and I work all sessions with the punch mitts, punch paddles, and the body shield. First session we'll work on your basic stance, steps, and the jab. I emphasize the importance of relaxation and that comes from having fun. I'll work on your level and experience. The emphasis on the "craft of boxing" vs strictly "aerobic output" will depend on your goals.

Client Reviews
Brendan (CoachUp client)
Coah Michael knows his stuff…keeps you on your toes while simultaneously teaching you better technique. Reccomend booking a session and working with him in person to advance your boxing skills
Adil (Testimonial)
Shoutout to Michael for somehow being the perfect mix of boxing coach, drill sergeant, and stand-up comic. Every session feels like a masterclass in both dodging punches and one-liners. The man’s so precise about my form that I’m pretty sure he could spot a fly landing wrong on my jab. But seriously, Michael doesn’t just train you; he transforms you. Each session, he pushes me to punch harder, move faster, and improve my technique—without letting me lose my sense of humor (or my dignity). If you’re lucky enough to train with him, get ready to laugh, sweat, and actually get better every single time.
