I am a Former Assistant General Manager in the Houston Astros organization. In 1982, I founded the Daytona Beach Baseball program, and during that same year I was asked to handle the comeback of former Astros star pitcher, JR Richard.

During my career, I have served as head coach at both the college and high school rank. I am the Head Coach of a pro Scout team and a local high school. I am also the director of an award winning sports science academy.

In 2008 and 2009, I was named the National Amateur Baseball Federation Man of the Year. I am also a two-time National Amateur Coach of the Year, winning three National Championships in 1992, 1994 and 2001. I led the first ever USA Team to play in the Soviet Union and I was selected in 1999 to coach at the Goodwill Games in China. I have coached 3 first round picks, 2 second and third rounders, and 25 other draft picks. My former players include retired Red Sox catcher Jason Varitek, former Oakland pitcher Brad Rigby and 1990 NCAA MVP, Mike Rebhan. I have conducted coaching clinics in China, South America, Spain, Soviet Union and Canada, along with over 200 clinics in the USA. I was featured on "Outside the Lines" on ESPN. My players have been awarded over $40 million dollars in college scholarships.
