More About Coach Mendy

As a Certified Life Coach, I have experience in both training and coaching athletes. After recently acquiring my certification through The Life Coach School in Texas, I have trained athletes in their sport and also coached them through obstacles they faced using the life coaching methods I have mastered. As assistant coach for Squirrel Hill Baseball (ages 10-13) and through one-on-one coaching sessions, I have seen great results and have had the privilege of watching my players grow in leaps and bounds. I typically work with athletes ages 5-18, but with my many years of experience working with children of all ages (literally from newborns through middle school), and my deep passion for childcare, I am capable and delighted to work with any age.

While playing baseball for Squirrel Hill Baseball from first grade through eighth grade, I was the starting Center Fielder and Lead-off batter for my team. During that time I was chosen to represent Squirrel Hill Baseball in the All Stars League of Western Pennsylvania for 5 years in a row. I was part of many championship-winning teams, and in my last year attending the World Series, I was chosen as the game winning MVP.
In 4th grade, I also played soccer as a starting striker for Dynamo Soccer in Pittsburgh, PA.
In 2019, I was offered a roster spot as a wide receiver for The Pittsburgh Saints, a semi-pro football team. (Due to logistics and personal reasons, I had to decline the offer.)
Through daily personal practice and studying film for many hours a week, I continue to sharpen and re-sharpen my skills in the following four sports: Baseball, Football, Basketball, and Soccer.

(Warning: Athlete may not want to ever end the session due to vast amount of enjoyment.)
Having fun, honing skills, and feeling motivated are the three pillars upon which my coaching stands.

A typical baseball session lasts 60 minutes. I focus on fielding, throwing, ball tracking, base running, batting stance, and hitting.
I have the athlete perform specific drills and notice what he/she needs improvement on. I then create a personalized session plan for their specific needs.

Client Reviews

When I was playing little league baseball, I was feeling a lot of pressure on the pitchers mound and in the batter's box, causing me to play at a lower level. Getting coached by Coach Mendy really helped me understand and fix the problems I was facing, and helped me up my game tremendously. I went on to have my best year ever and won the League MVP for that year! Thank you Coach Mendy!
