More About Coach Maxwell
I have over around 2 years experience training athletes. I have trained athletes at the recreational level as well as athletes in the youth select level. I work with ages 5-16. I do not currently have any industry certifications.
I was top goal scorer on my club soccer team at the youth level. I currently compete at the NCAA DIII Level. I play at the university of Dallas. For my college freshman year, I became the starting striker and played in every single match.
My sessions last around an hour. First with a 5-7 minute warmup to prevent injury and get the body primed for intensity. Then the next 20 minutes is solely technical skills work for soccer to focus on their first touch and passing. The latter 30 minutes are designated to what the athlete needs. If it is an attacker, we will do more dribbling and shooting work, and a defensive player, more work on clearing the ball, headers, etc. Then the last 5 minutes are dedicated to a cool down stretch to prevent injury again and recover better.
