More About Coach Maty

I have been training athletes and novice clients for 4 years at the elementary, middle, and high school level. I coach sprint and agility, volleyball, track & field, kickboxing and overall fitness. I've worked with Fit Kids America, Recreational centers, country clubs and small gym boutiques. Experienced in all ages from 4 and up!

I ran track in high school, I was first in county in the 400m dash and 4x4 relay in 2009, went to state in 2010 in the 4x4 relay and in high jump. I received MVP in 2009, Most dedicated 2009, 2010. Beat the high school record for the fastest 4x4 relay. I ran division I track for Middle Tennessee State University my sophomore year.

Depending on what my client wants to work on is how I would plan my sessions. If my client wants to work on being explosive, we would work on power. I would have them do exercises at high volume with less reps. For example box jumps 3 sets of 6-8 reps. We will always warm up, stretch and cool down. I want my athletes to be the best so recovery will be big in my workouts as well.
