More About Coach Matthew

I have coached for 7 years for high school and college camps. High school was for children from 5th grade to 8th grade. In college, I coached for the same age group and I also coached the Scranton elite camp, which is for high school kids who are looking to play basketball at the college level.

I played basketball at the collegiate level at the University of Scranton as a 3 year starter and two year captain. I was first team all conference for two years, as well as DIII Mid Atlantic first team, USBWA DIII national player of the week, Jesuit national player of the week for two weeks, MVP of the Hilton invitational tournament, and 1K scorer.

My sessions will be tailored to the client I am working out. However, some basic drills that I will run for most of my workouts would be form shooting, shoot and slide, Mikan drill. I also have access to a shoot away 10,000 shooting gun that I have in my driveway which is a half court. I also have cones for cone drills to work on speed and agility. I also have a weighted ball for ball handling drills.

Client Reviews

I’ve had the pleasure to witness Matt’s growth and development as a rival and competitor on the opposite side of the floor in high school, and as a teammate and brother in college. In high school Matt’s basketball knowledge was always on full display as he always found ways to make life difficult for our big men in the post through his offensive dominance and by being a pest on defense. Matt’s skill and basketball IQ exponentially grew in college due to his tireless work ethic and dedication. I always respected Matt as a competitor since he always gave 110% effort and I was fortunate enough to see this up close as his teammate during college. Matt was our voice on the court and always knew where everyone should be at all times and made sure to hold us accountable which are just a few reasons why he was such a respected leader and feared competitor. I’d march into battle with this man any day of the week, no questions asked!
