Matthew Laurinec

I've been coaching lacrosse for over a decade and have experience coaching at all age levels from kindergarten all the way up to college athletes. I typically work with players in high school and college but can still coach at the youngest level for players that might be just starting out.

During my time coaching I've been an assistant at Troy Athens High School, Head Coach of various age groups for the travel organization Coalition Lacrosse and currently hold a position as the Defensive Coordinator at The University of Michigan-Dearborn. I'm also certified member of US Lacrosse.

I attended Troy Athens High School and played for four years. Starting as a Freshman on the JV team and then playing my Sophomore - Senior year on the Varsity team. I was team captain as a senior and was honored with the recognition of First Team All-State in 2006.

While attending the University of Michigan-Dearborn I was a four year starter on the Men's Lacrosse team earning All-Conference recognition in two of my four season. I was also a team captain for three years and earned our team Defensive MVP and Leadership Award three out of four seasons.

Each session is tailored to the specific needs of the athlete. If there are certain skills that they want to achieve or goals they set for themselves I like to evaluate where each athlete is when it comes to trying to achieve those goals. I like to get a baseline of their skill level first and then work on the exact needs to get the player to achieve their goals. I'm well versed in offense and defense and can offer a lot of insight at all playing levels. Film Review and College Recruiting help also available upon request (Additional Fee Required)
