More About Coach Matt

I have trained and coached for over 10 years now. I have worked with almost all levels of fitness in the industry.

I began my career as a young trainer at a corporate gym at just the age of 16. I learned more about corporate gyms and the training they offer, than I actually learned about coaching. I continued to learn, coach and specialize my skills and knowledge, as well as attend ASU with a focus in Kinesiology.

I competed in Olympic lifting and some powerlifting as well as played football.

I now specialize in all fields of fitness such as general fitness, weight management (gain/loss), corrective exercise, and of course bodybuilding, powerlifting, Olympic lifting, women's figure/bikini/fitness competition, performance athletes ranging from football to MMA mixed martial arts.

I coach all ages:
INDIVIDUAL COACHING
PARTNER/GROUP
ONLINE COACHING/CONSULTATION.

I currently hold an additional personal training certification by The National Council on Strength & Fitness.

Competed in:
Football
Baseball
Olympic lifting
Bodybuilding

My sports career was ended early due to nerve damage on the right side of my body. It was a tough time in my life having to turn down collegiate offers to play football, however I also had academic scholarships which I took advantage of and attended Arizona State University majoring in Kinesiology and Business Economics.

I competing in multiple Olympic lifting competitions, and can proudly say I took first in each competition I entered.

I always begin my relationship with my client just getting to know them, their goals, as well as just their life in general.
In order to properly coach a student you must know more than just his/her fitness level. Everyone is different and requires attention in their own specific areas.
My job is to find the most efficient way to improve the wanted area of improvement of the client while keeping their lifestyle in order and not have to adapt to such a dramatic/sudden lifestyle change.

Each session is different depending on the client, however main focuses I like to pass on are
Physical change/progress
Knowledge
Consistency
Lifestyle structure
