- In the winter, I travel to my home country of Brazil, where I work with athletes of all ages and levels at the MLB Baseball Academy. A few players have reached the MLB from that academy, and a lot of them have played in different levels like college, high school, independent league, semi-professional in places like the US, Japan, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Germany, France, Austria, and more.

- Played Division I baseball for Ohio University: MAC Champion, College World Series contender, played in multiple positions.

- Played JuCo baseball for West Los Angeles College: California JuCo Gold Glove in 2015.

- Played for the Brazilian National Team: Best pitcher in South America award in 2012, Most Stolen Bases in South American Tournament in 2017, U14,15, and 16 National Team Captain.

On the first day, I let them show me where they are. If it's a hitting lesson, I let them show me how they warm up, hit off the tee, then we do soft toss, and rarely do regular BP on the first day. That gives me an idea of what to work on.

The next day, we'll start with drills that are related to their deficiencies. Maybe work on their balance, separation, weight transfer, etc... At the end, we do regular BP to see if they can incorporate what they learn.

Repeat the process and try to fix mechanic flaws, as well as giving the hitter more confidence. I also like to talk about their mindset and approach at the plate.
