More About Coach Martin

I have experience coaching clients from the age of 9 to the age of 20 plus. As a coach I have train at some of the best camps, including coaching at nba well known Jeff Mcinnis “jmac academy” camp in the summer.

My greatest accomplishment as a athlete was when I signed my first ever contract to play professional basketball in Europe. Before turning pro I played my college ball at he university of Johnson C Smith in which i played in the CIAA. While playing professional ball I have accumulated many accolades such as multiple player of the weeks, player of the month, and import player of the year.

A client can expect a intense, straight forward workout with me. I am very passionate about the game and I put my all into the trainees because first and foremost I believe in “you.” As a trainer I focus on the fundamentals of the game, footwork, game like situations, defense, scoring moves , triple threat options, and the mental state of the game which is very important!!!
My workouts begins with light jogging up and down the court a couple times to loosen up. Followed by some different stretches to prevent injuries. Next will be some one ball two ball dribbling drills with some spot shooting to tighten up your shot. After spot shooting I like to incorporate the two and do some combination moves that work on spacing and scoring on the defender. Also, moves from the triple threat. After multiple combinations I like to cool things off with some free throws. Then, water. After the break I like to finish with a couple shooting games that includes catch and shoot.

Client Reviews

We love Coach Martin! Honestly he pushes our kids to challenge themselves. He is patient while he's teaching, but he doesn't allow them to give him less than their best effort every time and for the duration of training. I saw an immediate improvement to not only skills, but attitude and confidence.
