More About Coach Marquis

I have trained kids of all ages. I am a professional basketball player, I have coached several camps in england during my season and after my season. Since being in Columbus I have been training kids with a local training business called TheDOBO and we work with kids from ages 5-collegiate/professional.

I played basketball in Columbus, oh in high school at a school called Harvest Preparatory school. I played junior college at Cincinnati State Techical and community college where I received all conference honors and all tournament honors. I then went to 4 year school division 2 at university of west Florida where I received all conference honors and all regional honors. I've played professionally in 3 countries now and going into my 5 professional season.

I have a variety of drills that focus on many different skills for basketball as well as strength and conditioning drills. I teach multiple skills but also help with life lessons throughout the session. I would normally start with 5-10 dynamic warm up with/without the ball depending on age and skill set. I would then go into ball handling/foot work drills focusing on making the clients ball handling and foot work progress. Depending on size of the group I'll then get into either circuit where we work on physical conditioning and strength work as well as a specific skill in each section of the circuit. If it's an individual work out I work on specific drills targeting whatever skill needs work for the specific client.
