More About Coach Marques

My official coaching experience is limited to helping run basketball camps here at Lehigh university during the spring and summer. I worked both the "elite" camps where there were primarily high-level high school players attending as well as lower level youth camps during my time here. After college I trained former teammates, other Division I players, and high level high school players. As of now I coach both a 7th and 8th grade team in my spare time.

I played Division I collegiate basketball for Lehigh University. I entered the program in 2017 and played 5 years. My senior year I was given all league honors, receiving Patriot League Third Team honors in a year where I averaged 15.3 ppg and 4.1 apg. I also was awarded NABC Second-Team in the same year. I just finished my first year overseas playing high level professional basketball in the BNXT league of the Netherlands and Belgium where I averaged 10.9 points and 3.1 apg.

The first session is designed to test the skill level of the player with basic but challenging drills that will give me an idea of where they are at. After that session, they will be given a written evaluation and we can discuss specific areas that the player wants to get better at and what I identify as weak points in their game. In the first session players will first be taken through a warmup, then progress to ball-handling, finishing, shooting drills, and then position-specific drills followed by a cool down stretch.
