More About Coach Marko

I’ve been working as soccer coach for elementary middle and high school group of age. I started as an assistant coach at al Ahly club in Cairo at age 19., then I moved to the U.S and start coaching in middle and high schools plus providing private lessons.

I’ve been playing soccer since I was five. I was born and raised in Cairo. I’ve played professionally at al Ahly club in Egypt till age 17. With my team at Al Ahly club, I have won the title of the national egyptian league twice.

Before I dive into the tactics and drills, it's important to establish goals for the season aiming for a specific win-loss record or tournament result? Are there specific skills or areas I need in my team to improve upon? Identifying goals early on will help guide the season plan.

Strategy:
Based on goals, I can now develop a strategy for my team. Decide if I need to Focus on a defensive or offensive approach? Do we need to employ a high-pressing style or sit back and counterattack? Identify my team's strengths and weaknesses and develop a strategy that plays to their strengths while mitigating their weaknesses.

Drills:
To put tactics into practice, I will need to develop a variety of drills that simulate game scenarios. For example, if team is working on quick transitions, i may want to focus on drills that start from a defensive position and move quickly into an attacking scenario. I could also set up small-sided games to work on specific tactical approaches, such as a 3v3 game to focus on pressing and quick passing.

Additionally, I may want to develop drills that focus on specific skills, such as shooting, passing, dribbling, or defending. These drills can be incorporated into my team's regular training regimen to ensure they are well-rounded and developing their individual abilities.
