More About Coach Mark

I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) with a degree in Kinesiology and a concentration in Exercise Science from CSU Fresno. I have been involved in the fitness industry for many years starting with a strength and conditioning internship with the varsity athletes at Fresno State. Shortly after I became a Sports Performance Coach with Velocity Sports Performance, and had the oppurtunity to work with many athletes both amateur and professional. At this time I also began programming for weight management, and weekend warrior clients.
Around 2008, I was introduced to Crossfit from a fellow coach, and have been following the Crossfit methodology since. I currently train at a local Crossfit affiliate, as well as my home gym.

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist- National Strength and Conditioning Association

The first session is more of a feel each other out session. I want to know your fitness/athletic background and your future goals. At this time I also want to assess your movement quality to check for imbalances.
Future sessions will begin with a dynamic warmup incorporating dynamic stretching and muscle activation drills that correspond with the days workout. The remainder of the session will be a customized workout that will be planned based on your specific goals.
