More About Coach Maria
I have a Master's degree in Sports Medicine and I have been a personal trainer for over 8 years, with NASM PT, CES and PES certificates. I coach clients with different backgrounds, from children to seniors, from pregnant to competitive athletes. I was self employed doing fitness testing with state of the art equipment, also doing personal training and doing weekly group classes .
My classes focus on improving mobility, athleticism, cardiovascular health, muscle strength and power and of course injury prevention.
I have tried several sports, track and field, mainly mid distances, then continued with soccer all through out college; and participated in several mid distance events, an adventure race, and have been a fitness model for several occasions since 2004. I am focused in climbing and mountain biking and of course developing my athletic performance overall.
In a typical session I will introduce movements in all 3 planes of motion, pulling, pushing, core and lower body exercises, changes in the center of gravity level, sometimes doing a high intensity interval workout, a volume workout, a resistance, power or recovery class, always looking for good form and technique and controlling pulse and respiratory rate. All sessions will start with a warm up and finish with a refreshing cool down and stretching.

She has exceeded my expectations in many ways. Not only is she incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, she is also fun. Maria knows what she's doing, and she does it well- with grace and a smile. She is tough on you, shoe is very strict about technique and injury prevention, and constantly makes you sweat. She seems very intuitive- just the right amount of push and pull to get you in the shape you want and achieve your goals!
Maria understood precisely what I need without intimidation or any judgment to be a better athlete. I came to her looking for ways to improve in my sport and get better results with more intelligent training, and even after one session I can notice a significant difference in my posture, movement patterns and now I know what to work on.
