I am a CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit Kids certified coach, as well as a second-degree black belt in Tang Soo Do. I have been coaching CrossFit for two and a half years at CrossFit Monterey and now at CrossFit Davis, and I have been teaching cardio kickboxing and martial arts for quite a few years. I have just recently moved to Davis, California for school and I am available to coach clients around the Sacramento/Davis/Dixon area in general strength and conditioning or CrossFit. A kickboxing/martial arts aspect can be added into training sessions for those that request it. I am also available for nutrition advising, and if a client has a special case, I am well connected with dieticians that can be of service.

The first thing I will always do with a new athlete is to put them through a quick warmup and get a feel for their limitations/injuries/concerns; this allows me to modify or scale any movements that might be out of reach for the athlete at that moment. After the warmup, the athlete will complete either some accessory core work, mobility work, strength work, gymnastics skill, or a combination of any or all of these specialties. The "workout" itself will come last, and the workouts are a constantly-varied mix of lifting, sprinting, gymnastics movements, or kickboxing/martial arts intervals for those that are interested. The key is constant variation and quantifiable results.
