More About Coach Marcus
I have been training and coaching athletes for 7 years to become better basketball players. I have been fortunate to work with players of all levels ranging from the NBA to small kids. I previously worked at Impact Basketball where I was a lead trainer and a coach for our development teams. I also conducted camps overseas in places such as Beirut, Lebanon. I typically work with players of all levels and pride myself on constantly adding to their skills while focusing on the continuous refining of the basic fundamentals and most importantly having fun. The game of basketball requires continuous improvement on every level level to stay ahead of the competition and become the best player that you can be. Nothing is better than working together to reach goals while not getting satisfied and continuing to strive for the next level.
In High School I was a part of a team that won 2 City Championships and 1 State Championship while going undefeated my senior season and being the #2 ranked team in the country. I attended college at Fordham University where I was a 4 year starter. I was an all conference player in the Atlantic 10 and finished 6th all time in scoring in the history of the school with 1709 career points. I played NBA Summer League with the Detroit Pistons and played professionally in Austria and England. I also had the honor of being inducted in the the Fordham University Athletic Hall Of Fame in 2015.
A typical session will consist of on court skill work with some strength and conditioning work if needed. Each player is different so I come up with a plan along with the player to have a vision of what we are working towards. Typically, we start off with intense ball handling and coordination drills for 15-20 minutes. Then we go into shooting for 15 minutes. Next we normally work on footwork drills then finish off with concentrating on improving a specific skill set.

Nice coach with great instruction as we learned a lot from just one session. Now it's time to practice a bit and see where we go from there. Marcus clearly has passion and great know how about the game and the students he is working with. My son is just 7 and was looking for a better understanding of the game and the mechanics and Marcus made him feel very good and comfortable while also mixing some fun between drills.
