My 10 year old son just finished his 2nd session with coach Marcelo and the results are already noticeable. Marcelo has a great way of breaking down moves and concepts so that my son can pick them up quickly. Just had my first session for my 11 year old boy. I gave Marcelo a quick intro on the things I think my son needs to improve on and my son said a couple things. Marcelo picked up on those things and more right away and zoned in on each skill within the 1.5 hour session. I was really impressed and it was really helpful for me to watch also cause I was able to pick up on some things that I could do with him daily at home to improve his game.

He also used some technology to track where my son is at on the first session and we will be able to see in numbers and graphs his progress as time goes on. I thought this was a really valuable tool to have as a private coach. It’s important to be able to show that the training is working and also where to focus attention on as time goes on. We were visiting family during vacation in Vancouver, Washington, and wanted to have some training during our trip for our two boys (ages 14 & 12). Our eldest plays at the ECNL level and our younger at the State league level, so we were looking for intense one-on-one sessions at an affordable rate. With Coach Marcelo, we got both! Coach Marcelo runs his practices with a high level of intensity focusing on the whole player, both offensively and defensively. While our boys mainly play a defensive role, they do get the opportunity to be in an offensive position. I had good experience with Coach Marcelo. I haven't had private coaching before, so I didn't know what to expect, but he took me through some good exercises and pointed out helpful tips along the way. My favorite part of the session was doing one-on-one work at the end, where I got to see impressive technical ability from Marcelo, get pointers on my own moves, and learn some new ones from him.
In the end I really got what I was hoping for, which was an "ah-ha!" moment where he pointed a critical flaw in my approach to one-on-one's that I would never have been able to notice myself that really opened up my ability. I've been able to apply these tips to my games and really benefited from it so far. I'll definitely be doing more sessions when I can.
