More About Coach Marceleus

Hello let me introduce myself. My name is Marceleus better known to my athletes as “Coach” or “Coach V”. I have been certified through the National Strength & Conditioning Association as a personal trainer for over 10yrs. I have other specialized training certifications in youth fitness ACL prevention and postural analysis. I have been involved with sports all my life as an athlete and as a coach. The passion I have for sports, training and coaching led me to start and run my own company for over 8yrs, P.R.I.D.E. METHOD, LLC (Positive Results In Daily Exercise).

The athletic development side of P.R.I.D.E. METHOD is the Student Athlete Training Systems or S.A.T.S. The vision of S.A.T.S. came about due to the early participation and early specialization in basketball today. The lack of fundamentals and the increased injury rates were also a huge driving force behind S.A.T.S. This complete training program is for all ages and skill levels. This program develops athletes on and off the field of play thru nutrition, time management and personal development. The primary focus is to improve the movement quality of athletes and to master the fundamentals (dribbling, passing and shooting) of basketball. Sessions with Coach V are intense, fun, creative, result driven and customized.

Walking on the basketball court and getting “shots up” IS NOT what the S.A.T.S. program is about. Before any athlete begins training with me a comprehensive movement and skill assessment must be completed. The assessment is comprised of a series of movement drills and strength exercises. There is NO pass or fail grade given. The purpose of this assessment is to see how your athlete moves and where your athlete is strength and skill wise. The scoring from this assessment provides us (parent, athlete & coach) with concrete data and identifies where weaknesses are and where improvements need to be made. This is the reason why your athlete will see a dramatic increase in their game in a short period of time because we are able to design a customized program centered around your athletes needs to ensure that their goals are met.

This is what a typical session entails. The times noted are just approximization to give you an idea of how the session will flow. Please note, because of the customization of our program, training sessions will vary from athlete to athlete, skill level, position played and goals.
