More About Coach Malek
I have trained players from ages 1.5 all the way to college. I have worked as a personal trainer at TOCA in Naperville. I have coached in Atlanta Georgia for a training academy called Trejo Soccer Academy where we had a different variety of players attend sessions from beginners to MLS Next players. I am currently the Head Coach at Kids United St. Charles.
I played Club soccer joining a national league team under NTH Smyrna. Playing High school varsity as well winning state our freshman year. And getting to regionals in club my junior year of high school. I went on to play soccer for Georgia Military College and Semi Professional for Georgia Storm. I trialed in my home country Tunisia for Esperance (Taraji) a professional club in my hometown.
My Coaching Philosophy
I believe coaching is about developing the complete player—not just the athlete you see on the field, but the person and competitor behind the player.
My goal is to develop players who are technically sharp, physically prepared, mentally resilient, and confident enough to perform when the game becomes difficult. Training should have a purpose, and it should translate to the game. I want players to experience realistic movements, realistic decisions, realistic pressure, and realistic intensity so that when they step onto the field, they feel prepared for what the game demands.
I place a major emphasis on repetition and technique because excellence is built through consistency. Players need to repeat movements correctly, build strong habits, and understand the details of their technique. But technical ability alone does not make a great player. The game also tests your ability to think, react, stay composed, and continue competing when you are tired, frustrated, or under pressure.
That is where mental toughness becomes a major part of my coaching. I believe in pushing players beyond the limits they think they have—not simply to make training difficult, but to teach them how to respond when they are uncomfortable. I want players to learn how to embrace pressure, manage adversity, and develop stress resistance. When a player realizes they are capable of pushing through something they once believed was beyond them, that confidence carries over into every part of their game.
I want my training environment to be demanding, competitive, and intense, while still being purposeful and developmental. I challenge players because I believe they are capable of more. My responsibility as a coach is not only to show them what they can do, but to push them toward discovering what they are capable of becoming.
Ultimately, I believe the physical side of soccer can make a good player effective, but the mental side can make that player great. My goal is to develop players who are prepared physically, technically, tactically, and mentally—and who are ready to perform when it matters most.
