More About Coach Makayla
I have played lacrosse for over 10 years and have developed a very comprehensive understanding of the sport. I recently graduated from Thomas Jefferson University as a high attackmen. I coached at the University of Dallas summer lacrosse camp. I am also a certified referee and have coached all the way up the to high school. I am welll versed in all grade levels of play due to my versatile background, however I specialize in grade levels 5/6-highschool!
In my senior year of high school I recieved the best midfielder award and the most versatile player during my freshman year. Unfortunately my collegiate season was cut prematurely, due to the virus therefore I wasn't able to receive any accolades. I played at the division II level and graduated in May of 2023 as a marketing major. I played at Allen Highschool for the entirity of my highschool career. I also played on the travel team, 214 alongside very athletic girls. In regards to academics, I am a Dean’s List recipient and CAAC Honor Roll recipient.
I like to perfect the fundamental aspects of lacrosse to ensure that my players can excel in every facet of the sport. Passing and catching techniques are essential in each of my sessions. Ladder work and breaking down footing positioning is also very fundamental. Shooting and dogding excercises are my expertise. I want to introduce a level of play that will genuinely challenge the athlete.
